Cloudflare Web Analytics / RUM

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Monitoring (RUM) to understand page usage and improve loading performance. Reports include page views, visits, performance measurements and dimensions such as country, browser and referring website.

Cloudflare adds the measurement script automatically through its network. It can run before a cookie choice; Accept, Reject optional and the optional analytics switch do not control this automatic measurement. Availability also depends on the regional settings configured in Cloudflare.

RUM storage and retention

Cloudflare states that its RUM beacon uses no cookies or browser storage. An IP address is received with the measurement request, then discarded at the nearest Cloudflare data centre; it is not retained in the RUM database or logs. This statement concerns RUM, not every Cloudflare network or security service.

Cloudflare documents seven days of unsampled beacon data, followed by sampled data for longer-term reporting. The dashboard provides up to six months of history; this is a reporting window, not a promise that all data is deleted after six months. Processing may take place outside your country. Your cookie preference

If you save a cookie choice, a first-party cookie records the selected categories, the policy version, the decision time and the expiry time. Its purpose is to respect your choice across pages and languages. It expires after 180 days. It is not used to build an advertising profile.

Contact by email

Following an email link opens your own email application. If you send a message, the recipient will receive your email address and the information you choose to include.
